The PMP® book “Conversations on the PMP® Exam: How to Pass on Your First Try: Fifth Edition” is published by Andy Crowe, PMP® who is the author of one of the most popular PMP® study guide “PMP® Exam: How to Pass on Your First Try“.
This book is actually an audio book consisting of 6 CDs for you to listen to while you are driving or jogging. It is a study guide based on the current edition of the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification exam (i.e. PMBOK® Guide Guide 5th edition). It includes all the information, advices and tips for PMP® aspirants to thoroughly prepare for the PMP® Exam. Insider secrets, test tricks and tips, hundreds of sample questions, and exercises are also included to help PMP® students to fully prepare for the actual exam.
In the “PMP® Conversations”, Andy Crowe, Bill Yates and Louis Alderman (all of them are PMP®) walk PMP® students through the key concepts and exam taking strategies for the PMP® Exam. They also touched on the 47 processes of the latest edition of PMBOK® Guide Guide.
The PMP® audio book means to be a complement to other written PMP® study guides (e.g. the one published by Andy Crowe himself mentioned above). It may be a bit risky to rely solely on this PMP® reference material to pass the PMP® exam.
‘Listeners’ of the audio books generally are very satisfied with the quality of the PMP® book.
A reader commented that even though the audio book was not a replacement for the printed PMP® study guide, it could be used as a supplementary learning tool to reinforce what had been learned about the PMP® exam materials. He is especially satisfied with the tips, tricks and strong emphasis on key points for the PMP® exam. He managed to pass the exam on first try.
Another reader used the audio book while he was commuting to and from work daily (the round trip is over an hour). He made use of the commute time wisely by listening to the key tips and points for the PMP® Exam. He considered the information very useful for the exam. He regretted he had not purchased and listened to this audio book earlier in his PMP® Exam prep study.
Yet another reader commented that while the audio book is useful to help him to remember the key facts for the PMP® Exam, PMP® aspirants should not reply on this audio book alone. Candidates are advised to purchase another PMP® Exam prep guide in order to understand the full syllabus of the PMP® Exam.
